farming family who will guide you through their fields
and explain how flowers and produce are grown for
local markets.
Get hands-on by helping harvest flowers and creating
your own bouquet to take home. Then enjoy a
traditional Apthapi picnic, a communal Bolivian meal
rooted in sharing and connection, surrounded by

Discover the Valley of the Flowers on a unique adventure where nature, culture, and tradition meet the thrill of an ATV ride. Visit a local farming family, harvest your own flowers, and enjoy a traditional Apthapi (communal picnic) surrounded by the landscapes of La Paz.

The tour begins with a short ATV ride toward the Valley of the Flowers (tourists have the option to start the tour from either Valle de la Luna or Colibri Ecolodge & Camping).

  • You will arrive at the flower fields, where a local family will share insights about their work, traditions, and daily life.
  • After harvesting flowers, you will share an Apthapi (traditional communal picnic) together with the family.
  • Finally, you will ride the ATVs back to the starting point.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the tour start time will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of the tour are non-refundable.
